I’m a writer, broadcaster and podcaster with a fondness for property, people and the glorious absurdities of everyday life.
I spent four years writing a property column for the Manchester Evening News, covering home staging and the wider property market, followed by a year as property design columnist for Cheshire Life.
I’ve also been an Agony Uncle for many years, with columns published in both the UK and America. These days, my advice giving has taken to the airwaves, with weekly appearances on The Cat Radio FM and Salt Towns Radio.
When I’m not solving other people’s problems, I host three podcasts. Antique Dust explores television and film, Gay & Straight Talk sees me discussing life and society with my straight pal Paul Brownless, and Over 50 and Unfiltered gives life, ageing and modern society a distinctly sarcastic Gen X side eye.
I’m currently editing a romantic comedy novel, with several more stories about midlife, relationships and reinvention already in the works. Much of my inspiration comes from real life, so if you know me, consider yourself gently warned.
